Fantastic study exchange at WUT, Poland

Why Poland

“Why Poland?” This question had bombarded me prior to and after my arrival in Poland. I didn’t know how to answer to this question initially; however, I managed to find the answer after my 4 months study exchange at WUT.

It is those nice people whom I met as well as both the way of studying and living here in Poland that made this study exchange an excellent one. Polish students may seem to be shy at the first place; however, you will find them very approachable and helpful once you take a step forward to know them.

Before sharing how’s the way of my living and studying being as an exchange student in Poland, I would like to post few questions here. “Had you ever ordered for a meal using dictionary as a translator when you don’t know how to speak the native language? And, had you ever have a pre-test before laboratory (0 point for the laboratory if you fail the pre-test)?” Had you ever sat in front of the computer for more than 24 hours searching for information for your study? The list of questions goes on.

Certainly it is ‘YES’

Certainly it is ‘YES’ to all the above questions by my side. In short, I would say that it was the criteria of self-independence and self-discipline that led me toward completing this study exchange successfully. The life at WUT is not easy; though, it was fun and worth to be experienced.

Four months was neither a long nor short duration; however, a sense of belonging to the big family of WUT had implanted into my heart. Though it was indeed sad to say goodbye to both WUT and Poland, I believe that I will come back to Poland in future as these places had left me with a lot of invaluable memories.

I had never walked alone

Here, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you very much to Dr. Dariusz Turlej, Prof. Teresa Zielińska, Maciek Lipiński, my mentor Jakub Bloch, all my professors and classmates for your helps in both my study and life in Poland. Having you all right here, I had never walked alone during the stay in Poland.

In conclusion

In conclusion, I would like to say that every place has its uniqueness which is worth to be seen and appreciated. Therefore, “Why not Poland? Why not WUT?” Come and experience the life of studying at WUT!

Do widzenia, WUT! Do widzenia Poland! Hope to see you in future.
